Les and Pam Eck Donate $100,000 to Newman University

Les and Pam Eck and the Eck Automotive Group have donated $100,000 to Newman University to support the school’s new on-campus science and healthcare building.

The donation comes as part of the University’s Facing Forward capital campaign, a campaign that has now raised more than $29 million towards it’s $30 million goal.

The gift will be used to help complete construction of the new Bishop Gerber Science Center, which is already under construction, as well as support student scholarships. The Science Center is expected to be completed by August of 2017.

“ The Ecks and their family of employees are proud to be a part of Newman University, and its growth through Eck Hall, Dugan Library and the Bishop Gerber Science Center,” Les Eck said in a press release. “Wichita and Kansas have been very good to us, and with community support we are able to give back.”

We’re also proud to annouce that the Ecks will be the official sponsors of it’s 2017 and 2018 Newman Phone-A-Thons fundraising drives.
